Description

DUI Field Sobriety & DRE Testing

This training is designed to improve your ability to recognize suspects who may be medically impaired, or impaired by drugs other than alcohol, and to take appropriate action when you encounter such a suspect.

Goals

    1. Identify General Orders pertaining to DUI laws and DUI enforcement.

    2. Identify Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to DUI enforcement.

    3. Identify the three phases of DUI detection.

    4. Identify the three Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.

    5. Identify the alternate Field Sobriety Test and when to administer them.

    6. Identify chemical testing procedures as recognized in the State of Florida.

    7. Identify proper citations and necessary paperwork to utilize during DUI investigations.

    8. Identify the appropriate time to utilize a .02 Violation

    9. Identify and demonstrate proper administration of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
