Course Description:

Students attending this course will be able to:

1) Articulate the difference between obesity, eating disorders, and food addiction;

2)  Practice using assessment tools for food addiction;

3) Identify the seven food related 12 Step Organizations;

4) Articulate professional resources for the five stages of food addiction.

Focus Areas:  Counseling, Addictions, Nursing/Medical, Prevention, Criminal Justice, Clinical

Course Level:  Beginner and Advanced Students Welcome!

Target Audience:  Addictions Counselor, Criminal Justice, Mental Health Counselor, EAP, Prevention, Healthcare,
